SRATE Emblem

SRATE is a regional professional organization affiliated with the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). Its purpose is to improve teacher education, broadly conceived, in the Southeastern United States and directly or indirectly throughout the nation by its affiliation with the ATE.

All persons who are members of the ATE unit of any member states are entitled to membership in SRATE. Member states are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Every couple months, we will feature a SRATE member state and highlight the achievements of members.  For our first spotlight, we will be featuring Florida and two members who have co-authored a book on swan conservation recently named as an award finalist.  Meet Sheila A. KATE LogoThe Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators (KATE) hosted the annual meeting of the Southeast Regional Association of Teacher Educators (SRATE) on September 29-30, 2022, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
 
The theme of the meeting was "Navigating Teacher Preparation Together."
